Baroque and Rococo
Baroque and Rococo couple dances from the 17th and 18th centuries. These are authentic reconstructions of historical dances, known as “country dances,” mostly from John Playford’s 1651 collection *The English Dancing Master*, performed in period costumes. A special feature is the solo dance Folies d’Espagne (Jean-Baptiste Lully), accompanied by castanets.
Step into the world of Louis XIV or Giacomo Casanova. The performance can be combined with instruction in simpler dances or a lecture on Baroque/Rococo attire.
Performance for 1–4 couples.
Performance duration: 2–12 minutes.
